Dombivli students set yoga records, enter India Book of World Records

Kalyan: Eleven students from Lodha World School, Dombivli, have achieved a remarkable feat by securing entries in the India Book of World Records for their outstanding performances in advanced yoga asanas.

The students demonstrated exceptional physical strength, concentration, discipline and mental endurance by holding challenging yoga postures for extended durations. Their achievement has brought pride to the school, Dombivli and Maharashtra.

The students created individual records in 10 different advanced yoga asanas. Fourteen-year-old Saanvi Shetty held Ramdootasan for 1 hour and 1 minute, while Agastya Tiwari (14) performed Gandabherundasan for 33 minutes and Saanvika Pathak (12) maintained Prajaktasan for 14 minutes.

Ayushman Sahu (13) performed Yoga Nidrasan for 23 minutes and 38 seconds, Sara Mulla (12) held Amit Vikramasan for 28 minutes, and Lakshitta R. Shelar (16) performed Swarg Dwijasana for 5 minutes and 10 seconds. Archishree Matil (12) maintained Tandavasan for four minutes.

Other record holders included Adyasha Patel (13) with Kailasan for eight minutes, Ankit G. (16) with Urdhva Pad Padma Sarvangasan for 10 minutes, Nandini Sontanam (14) with Ardha Matsyendrasan for 33 minutes and Aadya Chauhan (12) with Amit Vikramasan for 28 minutes and 40 seconds.

The students trained under Team Maharashtra Yoga coach Harshad Nere. The achievement was credited to their consistent practice, dedication and disciplined training. The success has added another milestone to Lodha World School’s achievements in yoga and sports.
