New Delhi: India produced a dominant all-round performance to defeat Afghanistan by 127 runs in the third and final T20 International at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, completing a 3-0 series whitewash.

Asked to bat first after losing the toss, India posted a massive 221 for seven in their allotted 20 overs, riding on a breathtaking century from Abhishek Sharma and a fluent half-century from Sanju Samson. Abhishek smashed 108 runs off just 34 balls, recording the fastest T20 International century by an Indian batter and one of the quickest hundreds in the format’s history.

His explosive innings powered India’s acceleration through the middle and death overs, while Samson contributed a valuable 50 to keep the scoreboard moving. Afghanistan’s bowlers struggled to contain the aggressive Indian batting unit as the hosts maintained a relentless scoring rate.

Chasing 222, Afghanistan never found their rhythm and were bowled out for 94 in 14.1 overs. Ibrahim Zadran was the only batter to offer some resistance, scoring 25 runs, but regular wickets prevented the visitors from building any momentum.

Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ravi Bishnoi led India’s bowling attack with three wickets each, dismantling the Afghan batting order and completing a comprehensive victory.
