Filip Kržišnik holds flaming handstand for 47 seconds

Slovenian stunt coordinator and gymnast Filip Kržišnik has set a Guinness World Records title after holding a handstand while his entire body was engulfed in flames for 47 seconds. The record-breaking stunt, performed in Vienna, Austria, on March 4, earned him the title for the longest duration full-body burn handstand. Kržišnik, 35, works in the film industry and has performed handstands around 10,000 times, according to Guinness World Records. For the attempt, he trained with weighted handstands, controlled breathing, and full-body burn rehearsals. Fellow stuntman and record holder Josef Tödtling also assisted with the challenge. A team equipped with fire extinguishers stood by throughout the attempt. When Kržišnik could no longer maintain the position, he lowered himself to the ground, and the flames were extinguished. He said he was pleased with 45 seconds but hoped to eventually reach 60 seconds. He reported no injuries, joking that only his pride was hurt.
