Turbidity disrupts Ambernath water supply, residents advised to boil water

Ambernath: Water supply in several parts of Ambernath city has been disrupted due to increased turbidity levels at the primary water source, affecting the water extraction and purification processes.
The Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (MJP) Water Management Sub-Division has said that the high turbidity has slowed down purification, resulting in irregular supply and reduced water pressure in various areas. The decline in purification efficiency has also affected the overall availability of treated water.
As a precautionary measure, MJP has advised residents to boil and filter water before consumption to avoid health risks. Citizens have also been urged to use water carefully and prevent unnecessary wastage during the disruption.
The authority said necessary measures are being taken on priority to control the situation and restore regular water supply once turbidity levels improve. MJP has appealed to residents to cooperate with the administration until normal supply is resumed.
