Mumbai: The distinctive work style and public awareness initiatives of IAS officer and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe have inspired a unique festive decoration during Gauri Ganpati celebrations.

Artist Anandrao More from Kari village in Satara taluka has recreated Mundhe’s appearance as part of his Gauri Ganpati display at Sewri in Mumbai. The creative presentation highlights Mundhe’s recent enforcement drives and his efforts to spread awareness among consumers about food safety.

Through his public messages, Mundhe has urged people not to judge food products only by their brand name or high price. He has advised consumers to check the ingredients and nutritional details before purchasing packaged food items.

The unique decoration has attracted attention for combining festive creativity with a social awareness message. By featuring a public official known for his strict action against violations and consumer-focused campaigns, More’s artwork reflects how current social issues often find expression through traditional festival displays.
