SRK, Ajay, Tiger respond to FDA notices

Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff have responded to show-cause notices issued by the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) over their Vimal Elaichi advertisement. FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe said all three actors submitted their responses, while two also sought hearings, which were completed on September 29. He did not disclose which actors appeared for the hearings. The notices, issued on August 11, alleged that the advertisement could amount to surrogate promotion of Vimal Pan Masala, a product prohibited in Maharashtra. The FDA cited provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, including those concerning misleading advertisements. The department will now proceed with the matter.
