Sanpada: The 33rd Ganeshotsav organised by Shivtej Mitra Mandal, Sanpada, is attracting devotees with its unique theme ‘Navi Mumbai Cha Kaiwari – Sonyachi Jejuri’ at Sector 4, Sanpada. The celebration beautifully blends devotion, culture, social responsibility and environmental awareness.

Established in 1994, the mandal has been conducting various religious, cultural and social activities for more than three decades. This year, it has recreated the spiritual atmosphere of Jejuri by installing an impressive replica of Khandoba Maharaj and presenting a grand decoration inspired by the famous pilgrimage town.

The theme has received an overwhelming response from devotees across Navi Mumbai. The chants of ‘Yelkot Yelkot Jai Malhar’ have filled the area with a devotional atmosphere, attracting visitors throughout the festival.

Along with the decoration, the mandal has focused on environmental conservation by creating an eco-friendly setup and spreading awareness among citizens. Several social initiatives, including a blood donation camp, tree plantation drive and felicitation of senior citizens and differently abled persons, have also been organised.

“Through Ganeshotsav, we aim to connect devotion with social service and create awareness among citizens,” said Treasurer Nilesh Kachare.

The mandal has also arranged cultural programmes such as drawing competitions, children’s games, women’s activities, Maha Aarti, collective Atharvashirsha recitation, Satyanarayan Mahapuja, Mahaprasad and prize distribution ceremonies.

President Sagar Gadge, Vice-President Mangesh Kadam, Secretary Rahul Kashid, Working President Vishal Kadam and other office-bearers are contributing to the success of the festival.

Daily aarti is conducted at 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. The mandal has invited devotees to visit the ‘Sonyachi Jejuri’ decoration and participate in the celebrations. The initiative reflects the mandal’s commitment towards community welfare goals.
