Ms. Deepti Gaur Mukherjee, Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Authority, expressed satisfaction with the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) in the civic hospital in Vashi.

Accompanied by Director Vikram Pagariya, Ms. Mukherjee inspected various facilities at Vashi Public Hospital, where they were welcomed by NMMC Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde. Additional Commissioner and City Engineer Shirish Aradwad, Medical Health Officer Dr. Prashant Javade, and Medical Superintendent Dr. Rajesh Mhatre were also present during the visit.

At Vashi Civic Hospital, officials demonstrated the functionalities of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, including patient registration through the Abha app, generation of token numbers, and instant retrieval of case papers from the Abha registration room. Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde highlighted that all hospital operations would soon be computerized, enhancing efficiency and patient care.

Patients registered via the Abha app will benefit from quicker access to their medical histories, previous treatments, tests, and medications across hospitals nationwide where the app is utilized. This streamlined process aims to deliver quality healthcare promptly, both in public and private healthcare settings.

Ms. Mukherjee commended the effective implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission at Vashi Public Hospital, affirming that the initiative is progressing well. She provided guidance on advancing the scheme's next phases and assured NMMC of continued support from the National Health Authority.

During the visit, Ms. Mukherjee also inspected Nisarg Udyan, Miyawaki forest area, and a sustainable aspirational toilet created from nearby waste, applauding Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation's innovative environmental initiatives.
