Mira Road: In a bid to improve the commuting experience for residents, the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Transport (MBMT) has launched a dedicated helpline number for passengers traveling on municipal buses. The initiative aims to provide a more convenient, efficient, and commuter-friendly public transport service.
Currently, the MBMT operates 107 buses across 26 routes, catering to more than 90,000 passengers daily. In response to the growing number of commuters and to address their feedback effectively, the civic body has introduced a helpline number — 8369306824 — which will remain active 24x7.
The helpline will serve as a platform for passengers to lodge complaints, offer suggestions, and seek information related to transport services. Officials believe the new facility will not only enhance service efficiency but also foster greater public engagement.
“The round-the-clock helpline is part of a broader strategy to make municipal transport more responsive and accountable. Commuters are encouraged to make use of the service to ensure their voices are heard and acted upon promptly,” MBMC commissioner Radhabinod Sharma said.
