With an aim to have better educational facilities Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC) has taken a significant step toward by unveiling digital classrooms and libraries across 19 schools. The initiative, which was inaugurated with great enthusiasm on 26^th January, aims to provide students with modern educational tools and resources for their holistic development.

The launch event, held at Ghoddev School No. 8, was inaugurated by Municipal Commissioner Sanjay Katkar and Senior Regional Officer Devjani Mandal. The project was made possible through a generous contribution of Rs. 32 lakhs from IDBI Bank under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

As part of the upgrade, 19 municipal schools received state-of-the-art equipment such as smart class digital panels, digital libraries, computer sets, and water purifiers. These modern facilities are designed to enhance the learning experience, providing students with access to technology and resources that were previously unavailable.

An official from the civic body stated, “MBMC has been consistently working towards providing quality education across its 36 municipal schools. The new digital facilities are part of an ongoing effort to bridge gaps in infrastructure and ensure that students receive the best possible education. The Innovation Cell of the Municipal Corporation has been instrumental in identifying the needs of schools and ensuring timely delivery of necessary resources”.

Deputy Commissioner Prasad Shingte, City Engineer Deepak Khambit, Assistant Commissioner Dipali Joshi, and other officials from the Municipal Corporation, along with representatives from IDBI Bank, teachers, students, and local branch managers, were present at the ceremony.

"Ordinary students from all walks of life study in the municipal schools. We are constantly striving to provide them with quality education by equipping them with all the necessary educational materials and facilities," said Municipal Commissioner Sanjay Katkar. "With successful initiatives like ‘Employment @18’, we are also focusing on providing students with job opportunities for a bright future."
