Faiyaz Khan appointed CEO of Maharashtra State Wakf Board

In an important administrative decision, the Minority Development Department of the Government of Maharashtra has appointed Faiyaz Khan as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Maharashtra State Wakf Board, headquartered in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The appointment has been made on a deputation basis for a tenure of two years and has been issued under the provisions of Section 23(1) of the Wakf Act, 1995.

Before assuming this new responsibility, Faiyaz Khan was associated with the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), where he played a key role in driving reforms and modernisation initiatives. During his tenure at CIDCO, he made notable contributions across the Estate, Computer Systems, and Marketing departments. He was instrumental in developing citizen-friendly digital portals, successfully implementing the SAP system to improve operational efficiency, and introducing measures aimed at enhancing transparency and administrative effectiveness.

Mr Khan is a qualified Civil Engineer and also holds advanced degrees, including an MBA in Marketing, and LLB. His blend of technical knowledge, managerial capability, and legal expertise is regarded as a major professional asset.

With his appointment, expectations are high that the Maharashtra State Wakf Board will move toward more transparent, efficient, and technology-driven governance.
