CR to run Marathon specials
Mumbai: Central Railway will operate two special suburban services during the intervening night of October 3 and 4, 2026, to facilitate participants of the Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2026.
The marathon is being organised in memory of Late Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, an Indian Air Force officer. On the Main Line, the Kalyan–CSMT Marathon Special will depart from Kalyan at 2.30 am and reach CSMT at 4 am.
While on the Harbour Line, the Panvel–CSMT Marathon Special will leave Panvel at 2.40 am and arrive at CSMT at 4 am. Both special suburban services will halt at all stations along their respective routes, allowing participants to conveniently reach the marathon venue during the early hours.
Central Railway has urged passengers and marathon participants to take note of the special services and make use of the additional transport facility.
