Urges them to dedicate one hour to cleanliness on Sundays

In a spirit of community and environmental responsibility, the commissioner of Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has urged the residents to participate in the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign, an initiative announced by Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi in commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary.

Highlighting five essential aspects of the campaigncommissioner Bangar said, firstly, activity coordinators will identify areas in need of cleaning. Secondly, they will record citizen and public representative participation. Thirdly, there will be close collaboration with public representatives, charities, and NGOs. The fourth aspect focuses on achieving a visible transformation in the selected areas.

Lastly, Bangar emphasized that during the campaign, everyone will work on an equal footing, transcending distinctions of seniority or rank.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also endorsed the campaign's importance and encouraged citizens to participate actively in this city-wide cleanliness drive.
