In a significant milestone for Thane's residents, the grand inauguration of the largest Central Park in the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) is scheduled for Thursday, February 8, under the leadership of Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde.

 The sprawling Grand Central Park, nestled in Kalpataru Parkcity at Kolshet, spans an impressive 20.5 acres and is poised to become a green haven for Thane's residents. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will officially open the park, showcasing a commitment to enhancing the city's recreational spaces.

With over 3500 diverse trees, the park is set to captivate visitors of all ages, offering a range of facilities from playgrounds for children to spaces for senior citizens to relax. The park's design draws inspiration from various global styles, including Mughal, Chinese, Moroccan, and Japanese, providing a unique and aesthetically pleasing experience.

Sandeep Malvi, Additional Commissioner (1) of the Municipal Corporation, highlighted the park's features, including playgrounds, a jogging track, the largest skating yard, lawn tennis and volleyball courts, a large amphitheatre, cafeteria, and public toilets. The park is well-equipped for school trips and environmental excursions, providing an educational and recreational space.

Under the Suvidha Plot Development Project, the Thane Municipal Corporation has meticulously developed this green oasis, preserving existing trees while adding new ones to enhance the ecological balance.

A pre-inauguration tour was organized for journalists, led by former corporator Sanjay Bhoir, Deputy Commissioner (Parks) Mithali Sancheti, and other officials, showcasing the meticulous planning and attention to detail that has gone into the creation of Thane's Grand Central Park.
