Mumbai: Sunny Deol has unveiled the first look of his forthcoming film Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak, offering audiences a striking glimpse of the actor in one of his most intense screen avatars in recent years. The announcement was made through a motion poster shared by Deol on Instagram on Monday.

The brief promo shows the actor with a thick beard, smoking a cigarette and wearing a visibly troubled expression. The imagery suggests a character caught between the past and present, searching for the truth. The makers have not yet revealed further details about the plot, supporting cast or production schedule.

Fans reacted enthusiastically to the poster, with many describing Deol’s appearance as powerful and predicting a strong performance. Some users called him an “international hero”, while others said they were eagerly awaiting the film’s release.

Directed by M. Padmakumar and presented by Kamal Mukut, Suryaa is scheduled to reach cinemas on 20 November 2026. Ravi Kishan and Pragya Jaiswal will also play significant roles in the film.

Deol enjoyed a major commercial comeback with Gadar 2, but his subsequent release, Rajkumar Santoshi’s period drama BORDER 2—earlier referred to as Bantwara 1947—failed to replicate that success despite favourable reviews. He played Sikandar Mirza in the film.

The actor’s November will also include Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, in which he portrays Hanuman. While he will not appear in the first part, his character is expected to be central to the second instalment.

With Suryaa and Ramayana arriving close together, anticipation around Deol’s next phase has risen sharply. Fans now await the film’s teaser and trailer.
