In a heart-warming tale of technology serving humanity, ProjectChetna.in, a pioneering tech and AI initiative dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable individuals, celebrates a remarkable success story.

Recently, one of its QR pendants played a pivotal role in swiftly reuniting Vinayak Kohli, a specially-abled child, with his family.

On Thursday, April 11, Vinayak, who resides in Worli, Mumbai, found himself on an unexpected journey after inadvertently boarding a bus bound for Colaba, reaching his unintended destination by 3:00 p.m.

Concerns for his safety arose, prompting the vigilant bus conductor to promptly contact emergency services. By 10:00 p.m., the case was under the care of the Colaba Police Station.

Thankfully, Vinayak was wearing a QR pendant from ProjectChetna.in. When police officers scanned the pendant, they gained instant access to critical details, including emergency contacts and his home address. Equipped with this vital information, the authorities swiftly notified Vinayak’s family.

Within an hour, Vinayak’s relieved family arrived at the police station, and the lost child was joyfully reunited with his loved ones.

Expressing immense gratitude, Vinayak’s family spoke about the pendant’s role as a life-saving blessing, streamlining procedures and expediting the reunion process.

“We are thrilled by the impact of our QR pendant technology in reuniting Vinayak with his family,” said Akshay Ridlan, founder of ProjectChetna.in. “This heartening outcome underscores our mission to harness innovation for social good, ensuring no one is left behind in the digital age.”

ProjectChetna.in has distributed 5,530 QR pendants free of charge across India, to safeguard vulnerable individuals and contribute to a safer, more connected society.
