Navratna and Navadurga Awards presented at Chaitra Navratri Bhakti and Kala Mahotsav

The 'Chaitri Navratrotsav 2024 Bhakti and Kala Mahotsav', organized by the 'Anand Charitable Trust' at Shivaji Maidan in Jambli Naka, Thane, witnessed a grand celebration of talent and dedication on April 12. The fourth day of the festival was marked by the distribution of Navratna and Navadurga awards, honouring individuals who have made significant contributions to society.

Among the distinguished recipients was journalist and Deputy Editor of daily Aaple Nave Shahar, Rajendra Gharat from Navi Mumbai. He was bestowed with the prestigious Navratna Award for his remarkable initiative of publishing twenty-three books in Braille books. Natya Parishad working president Vidyadhar Thanekar presented Mr. Gharat with an idol of Goddess and a shawl, symbolizing reverence and recognition for his noble endeavour.

In addition to Rajendra Gharat, several other individuals were honoured for their commendable work across various fields. Santosh Karkhanis, Kiran Gawand, Atharva Bedekar, Dr. Santosh Pathare, Amey Gawand, Mahesh Ambre, Sandeep Vikhare, Nishikant Mahankal, Vinod Desai, and Youtuber Vinayak Mali received accolades for their valuable contributions.

Furthermore, Navdurga Awards were conferred upon Asmita Chaudhary, Sonali Lohar, Harshada Pandey, Pragya Pandit, Kshama Joglekar, Alka Vadhavkar, Anjusha Patil, Shubhada Kurve, Vimukta Raje, and Nidhi Samant from Thane and surrounding areas. These women were recognized for their exceptional achievements and dedication to their respective fields.

The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests, including retired Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjay Dhumal, senior artist Appa Mahashabde, and education expert Smt. Meera Korde, who added prestige to the event with their presence.
