In a remarkable display of unity and cooperation, the Navi Mumbai Police and the Muslim community have joined forces to facilitate the smooth confluence of Anant Chaturdashi and Eid-e-Milad celebrations this year. To pre-empt any logistical challenges and promote harmonious festivities, the police have earnestly requested the Muslim community to postpone their Eid-e-Milad procession by a day.

Responding graciously to this appeal, the Muslim community of Navi Mumbai has agreed to reschedule their Eid-e-Milad procession to September 29, coinciding with the second day of Ganpati Visarjan. This collaborative decision has garnered widespread appreciation from both the police force and the Ganesh Visarjan Mandal, fostering an atmosphere of understanding and camaraderie.

With these two significant festivals coinciding, the Navi Mumbai Police have been diligently working to ensure the safety and peaceful celebration of these events. Deputy Commissioner of Police Circle-1, Vivek Pansare, hosted a meeting at Sahitya Mandir Hall in Vashi to emphasize the importance of maintaining tranquility during festivals. During the meeting, he appealed to the Muslim community to consider shifting their procession to September 29. In a heart-warming response, the Muslim Brotherhood announced their decision to hold the procession on the second day of Ganpati Visarjan.

This decision was met with gratitude, as the police department and Ganeshotsav Mandal extended their appreciation by presenting bouquets to the Muslim community members in recognition of their cooperation. The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner of Police from Circle-1 and Senior Police Inspectors from all Police Stations.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Pansare underscored the significance of peace during festivals and urged citizens to promptly report any wrongdoings to the police. He assured the public that the police would respond swiftly to maintain a harmonious celebration.

Alam Baba, President of Navi Mumbai Muslim Ekta Samaj, expressed gratitude for the police's appeal and reaffirmed the community's commitment to celebrating both Ganeshotsav and Eid-e-Milad peacefully. He called upon everyone to contribute to the city's tranquillity during this festive period.

In a similar vein, in Circle-2, Deputy Commissioner of Police Pankaj Dahane convened a meeting with Ganeshotsav Mandals and members of the Muslim community in Panvel. During this meeting, the Muslim community in Panvel also announced their decision to hold the Eid-e-Milad procession on the second day of Ganpati immersion, receiving accolades from the police and senior officers.
