Mira-Bhayandar: Mira-Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar police commissionerate has secured the top position among all the police commissionerates in Maharashtra under the 100-day Administrative Reform Campaign. The commissionerate scored an impressive 84.57 out of 100 in the evaluation carried out by the Quality Council of India (QCI).

“Our goal was to ensure citizens feel supported and safe while also promoting transparency and modern policing practices,” Madhukar Pandey police commissioner said. “This recognition is a testament to the relentless efforts of every officer and staff members.”

The 100-day Administrative Reform Campaign was launched to improve transparency, efficiency, and citizen engagement across government and semi-government offices. The assessments were based on seven key criteria: website quality, ease of citizen service, cleanliness, office facilities, digital operations, industrial support, and innovation.

Pandey credited the leadership team, including Addl. CP Dattatray Shinde and all Deputy Commissioners, for the milestone. “Together, we’ve created a model of proactive, tech-enabled policing that other regions can emulate,” he added.

Key achievements included:

An updated, citizen-friendly website certified by CERT-In for cybersecurity.

All police stations under Zone 1 certified with ISO and SMART standards.

Public awareness initiatives like a verified WhatsApp alert channel and UNICEF-supported ‘Bal Raksha’ campaign.

Smart policing tools like AI-powered CCTV-based traffic challans, body-worn cameras for traffic police, and QR-based citizen feedback systems.

Office modernization with digital infrastructure, clean premises, and improved visitor facilities.

Effective adoption of e-Office and Smart e-Beat mobile apps across all stations.

Proactive engagement with industrial stakeholders through 26 high-level meetings.
