Eye-catching green mascots roam Navi Mumbai to promote voter awareness for Thane Lok Sabha elections

In a bid to boost voter turnout for the 25th Thane Lok Sabha elections, the commissioner of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) Dr. Kailas Shinde has initiated an innovative campaign under the sweep program. Utilizing various media channels, including eye-catching green mascots resembling voting machines, the campaign aims to raise public awareness about the upcoming elections scheduled for May 20th.

These oversized mascots, adorned in fluorescent green, feature a replica of a voting machine on the front and display a board urging citizens to vote at the rear, along with a QR code for the Voter Helpline app.

The mascots have garnered attention from citizens of all ages, with many taking selfies and sharing them on social media platforms. Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Municipal Election Department Mr. Sharad Pawar, a comprehensive awareness campaign schedule has been devised, assigning specific departments to each mascot.

The initiative, resembling street performances, has resonated well with the public, indicating a positive response towards encouraging voter participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
