40 applications received on first day

The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) in partnership with ITCH Schools, has unveiled English medium classes for 2nd and 5th grades under the State Board curriculum.

On Thursday, April 18, 2024, the admission process for these classes kicked off at 10 a.m. The response from the community on the inaugural day was overwhelmingly positive, with around 40 admission forms already filled.

Prospective students can submit their admission applications until May 10, 2024, by 3 p.m. The admission lottery is slated for May 20, 2024, at 11 a.m. The window for submitting admission forms will remain open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., as announced by the Panvel Municipal Corporation.

Under the supervision of Commissioner Dr. Prashant Rasal, each class from 2nd to 5th grade will accommodate a maximum of 40 students (20 boys and 20 girls). Preference will be given to students residing within the jurisdiction of the Panvel Municipal Corporation.

Essential documents required for the admission process include the child's birth certificate, child's Aadhaar card, and parent's Aadhaar card/Voter ID card. Proof of parental residence can be demonstrated with documents like a Residence Certificate, Electricity Bill, Telephone Bill, Water Bill, Ration Card, Driving License, Panvel Municipal Corporation Tax Receipt, Nationalized Bank Passbook, or Registered Rent Agreement from the Sub Registrar Office for rented accommodations.

Building upon the success of the English medium pre-primary school, the Panvel Municipal Corporation has initiated admissions for English medium classes spanning 2nd to 5th grades. Admission forms are available at Loknete D.B. Patil Vidyalaya, Dandekar Hospital, and in front of Agri Samaj Hall, Panvel.
