Nerul: Around 300 participants took part in the fourth edition of Pinkathon at Wonders Park on October 25, joining the 3 km and 5km runs to promote women’s fitness, health and inclusion.

Initiated by Milind Soman, the movement was organised locally by Ajit Kaur Dhillon and Kamaljit Singh Dhillon with the Pinkathon Nerul East team. Corporator Ravinder Ithape and Netra Shirke flagged off the event.

Participants ranged from a two-year-old child to senior citizens aged 80. Twenty children from Swami Brahmanand Pratishthan Special School also joined the 3km run with their families.

“This is not just a one-day run. My team encourages women in Navi Mumbai to run a minimum of 5–10km daily to build stamina, endurance and the confidence to participate in Pinkathon events,” said Ajit Kaur Dhillon.

The Inner Wheel Club of Navi Mumbai Sangini Centurion and Rotary Club of New Bombay Seaside sponsored trophies, snacks and drinks, while Inner Wheel Club Chembur Tiara supported the registration of the children from the special school.

Pinkathon 4.0 was held simultaneously at 168 locations across 65 cities in three countries, promoting fitness and encouraging women to make physical well-being part of their daily lives.
