Wockhardt celebrate nurses

Mira Road: Wockhardt Hospitals honoured over 950 nurses across its locations in Mira Road, Mumbai Central, Rajkot, and Nagpur with a week-long celebration on International Nurses Day. The event featured a series of activities recognising the dedication, compassion, and clinical excellence of the nurses.

The highlight of the celebration was the launch of the "My Patient, My Idea" initiative, empowering nurses to propose innovative solutions to enhance patient care. "This initiative is a step toward recognizing our nurses as problem solvers and change-makers," said Lissymol Saji, nursing head at Wockhardt Hospitals.

The event began with nurses singing the Wockhardt anthem and taking the Nursing Pledge, followed by creative competitions such as poster drawing, singing, and talent showcases. Nurses who reached significant service milestones were honoured with gold coins by hospital chiefs.

"Investing in the professional development and well-being of nurses is paramount to ensuring quality patient care," emphasized Zahabiya Khorakiwala, managing director of Wockhardt Hospitals.

Dr Parag Rindani, CEO of Wockhardt Hospitals, added, "Our nurses are the backbone of our healthcare delivery. Their resilience and compassion are truly commendable."

The celebrations aimed to foster a sense of community and appreciation among nurses, recognizing their vital role in healthcare.
