Frustrated by the situation, passengers are demanding swift accountability from the Highway Authority of India (HAI) and the responsible contractor for the road's maintenance.

The Uran East Division, propelled by the development spurred by the JNPA Port, is in dire need of upgraded communication facilities. In response, Uran MLA Mahesh Baldi allocated funds to bolster the infrastructure in the area. However, recent revelations indicate negligence on the part of officials and contractors associated with the project, leading to subpar workmanship and the consequent degradation of the road.
