Ulhasnagar: To ease traffic congestion and enforce parking regulations, the Ulhasnagar traffic police conducted a special enforcement drive in the Camp-5 area, taking action against more than 50 vehicles found violating traffic rules.

The operation focused on curbing double parking and violations of P-1 and P-2 parking regulations, which have been contributing to traffic congestion and inconvenience for commuters.

According to officials, illegal parking has become a recurring problem along Basant Bahar Road, near the Chirag Hotel area, and on the route leading towards Swami Shantiprakash Ashram in Camp-5. Vehicles parked in violation of traffic rules frequently obstruct the movement of other vehicles, resulting in traffic jams and delays.

The situation has also caused difficulties for pedestrians, who are often forced to navigate congested roads due to improperly parked vehicles. Taking note of the growing problem, traffic police launched a special drive to penalise violators and improve traffic flow in the area.

During the operation, action was taken against more than 50 vehicles found parked in violation of the prescribed regulations. The drive aimed to discourage motorists from disregarding parking rules and to ensure smoother movement for both vehicles and pedestrians.

The traffic police have warned that similar enforcement drives will be conducted regularly to prevent illegal parking and maintain traffic discipline.

Officials have urged motorists to follow designated parking rules and avoid double parking, stressing that responsible parking practices are essential to reducing congestion and ensuring safer, more convenient roads for all commuters.
