A 68-year-old grandmother has set a Guinness World Record by performing a full-body burn stunt for horror film Final Destination: Bloodlines. Canadian stuntwoman Yvette Ferguson earned the title of oldest person to perform the stunt at 68 years and 227 days. The scene, filmed on March 14, 2024, shows her character, Mrs Fuller, fleeing a collapsing restaurant floor before being set alight by a chef’s blowtorch. Protected by flame-resistant clothing, specialised gel and accelerant, Ferguson sprinted through the set before triggering a staged explosion. She began her stunt career in Vancouver in 1986 and has spent four decades performing falls, vehicle flips and other dangerous scenes. Ferguson said she trusted her team and remains eager to continue working in films.
