Traffic disrupted, driver detained

Ulhasnagar – A major accident occurred on Tuesday morning on the Kalyan-Badlapur highway at Ulhasnagar Camp 3, when a speeding tempo ply from Ambernath towards Kalyan lost control. The incident, which took place in front of Derby Hotel, involved the tempo crashing into 3 to 4 rickshaws and 5 two-wheelers, causing significant damage to the vehicles. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported, although several drivers and passengers sustained minor injuries.

The horrific accident was captured on CCTV, showing the tempo careening into the parked vehicles. The driver of the tempo, who is suspected to have suffered an epileptic seizure, lost control of the vehicle. Police from the central station quickly arrived at the scene to manage traffic and assist with relief efforts.

The tempo driver has been detained and is currently at the central police station pending further investigation. Traffic on the highway was temporarily disrupted but has since been cleared by the authorities.
