Road behind Football Maharashtra Centre of Excellence turns into dumping ground

Residents near Football Maharashtra Centre of Excellence have raised concerns over the deteriorating condition of the road behind the facility and nearby areas which have transformed into a dumping ground due to alleged negligence by the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC).

Residents frequent the area for their morning walks and the locals have complained that there is a foul stench in the area and heaps of garbage and debris in the periphery.

Jeevan Kashyap, tagged PMC and the CMO of Maharashtra and tweeted pictures of the area. He said, “The road behind Football Maharashtra Centre of Excellence has turned into a dump due to PMC negligence. Bad smells greet us on our morning walks. Please take action.”

Savita Kumar Prasad, a resident from Sector 33, Kharghar said, “We used to cherish our morning walks along this road, but now it has become unbearable. The stench is foul and reeks, and the sight of trash is an eyesore.”

Residents are urging the PMC to take immediate action to clear the accumulated garbage and ensure regular maintenance of the area.
