In a startling development, the Mumbai Crime Branch has detained the owner of the Passion Pro motorcycle involved in the recent shooting outside the residence of renowned actor Salman Khan, along with the owner of the house where the accused perpetrators resided in Panvel's Harigram area for the past month and a half.

Investigations have revealed that the assailants procured the motorcycle used in the attack from Panvel on April 2nd through an intermediary. The motorcycle, bearing registration MH-46/R-4799, was purchased for Rs 24,000 from Swaroop Motor shop near Rupali Talkies. The owner of the motorcycle, Mukesh Mahendra Sharma, a resident of Kalamboli, had acquired the vehicle through an agent. During the purchase, one of the accused, Vicky Kumar Gupta (24), provided an Aadhaar card with a Bihar address.

The shooters, identified as Vishal alias Kalu, believed to be affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, unleashed a barrage of gunfire outside Salman Khan's Mumbai residence around 5 am on Sunday morning, firing four to five rounds. The motive behind the attack appears to be to instill fear and send a message to the actor.

Further investigation has revealed that the suspects had been residing in a room within the B-wing of Radhakrishna Apartment in Harigram village, Panvel, for the past one to one and a half months. This suggests a premeditated planning phase leading up to the shooting incident.

In response to these developments, the Mumbai Crime Branch has taken both the motorcycle owner and the house owner into custody for questioning, as part of their ongoing probe into the matter.
