PMC organizes lecture on environment in four municipal schools

In a bid to instill a sense of environmental consciousness among students, the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has initiated the implementation of the "Paryavaran Seva Yojana" across secondary and higher secondary schools. This endeavour is part of the ongoing Majhi Vasundhara Abhiyan 4.0, aimed at fostering environmental conservation and protection among the youth.

Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Vaibhav Viddate, the lectures were held at Loknete D. B Patil Vidyalaya, Hutatma Hirve Guruji Jivan Shikshan Vidyamandirand Urdu School hosted informative lectures on environmental awareness. The lectures were designed to enlighten students about the significance of preserving the environment from a young age.

The "Paryavaran Seva Yojana" encompasses various activities such as action programs, camps, lectures, elocution competitions, poster competitions, tree plantations, and quizzes, aligning with the core elements of the Majhi Vasundhara campaign: sky, water, air, land, and fire.

The sessions organised on Wednesday, March 27, focused on educating students about the "Paryavaran Seva Yojana, encouraging them to adopt trees and nurture them. A particular emphasis was placed on the importance of water conservation, with engaging lectures and educational videos enhancing the students' understanding of environmental issues.
