Voter awareness campaign gains momentum

In the wake of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, a robust campaign to promote voter awareness is underway in Navi Mumbai. Spearheaded by the SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) initiative, various strategies are being employed to ensure widespread participation in the democratic process.

The initiative aims to empower every citizen with the knowledge and motivation to exercise their voting rights effectively. Through a multitude of platforms and activities, the message of the importance of voting is being disseminated across different segments of society.

One notable effort took place at the office of the Sampalam Sakhi Vikas Sanstha in Koparkhairane, where 150 women from the Airoli Vidhan Sabha Constituency were educated about their voting rights. Under the guidance of Election Adjudicating Officer Mr. Suchita Bhikane and SVEEP Nodal Officers Mr. Abhilasha Mhatre and Mr. Vibha Singh, these women pledged to vote and encourage others to do the same.

Similarly, at the annual reunion of Airoli's DAV School in Vashi, attendees were urged to prioritize voting. Teachers, parents, and students alike affirmed their commitment to voting, symbolically raising their fingers in agreement.

The campaign extends beyond traditional settings, reaching commercial hubs like West Side and Chroma in Patni Road. Here, employees and customers alike are reminded of the significance of their vote in shaping the future of the nation.

Even at the central post office in Airoli and during local festivals in Airoligaon, efforts are made to educate and encourage individuals to vote. Dr. Kailas Gaikwad, Commissioner and Divisional Officer of Digha Division Office, set an example by vowing to vote alongside his team, emphasizing the collective responsibility of all employees to promote voter awareness.
