The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) is gearing up to conduct a transparent and impartial recruitment process for 377 vacancies spanning various departments, encompassing positions from Group 'A' to Group 'D'. Commissioner and Administrator Ganesh Deshmukh has issued a stern warning, emphasizing the intention to take legal action against anyone found disseminating false information regarding the upcoming examinations.

Under the guidance of Commissioner Ganesh Deshmukh, the recruitment examinations are scheduled to take place in 11 sessions from December 8 to December 11. To ensure the integrity of the process, the Corporation has entrusted the recruitment to TCS (Tata Consultancy Services), with the goal of achieving a fair and efficient selection procedure.

The recruitment drive has seen an overwhelming response from candidates, with a remarkable 54,558 applications received for the 377 available positions. These roles encompass a wide range of areas, including administration, engineering, technical, legal, fire services, security services, information and technology services, accounting and financial services, park services, urban development services, mechanical services, public health services, sports services, paramedical services, veterinary services, and examination services.

In response to the circulation of false information on social media platforms, the Corporation has issued a strong warning, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining a transparent recruitment process. Stringent precautions have been taken, including the installation of signal jammers at examination centers to prevent any malpractice involving mobile devices, Bluetooth, and digital watches. Additionally, police personnel will be stationed at each center to maintain security, with designated officers overseeing the examination process.

Deputy Commissioner Kailas Gawde has emphasized the Corporation's dedication to upholding the highest standards of transparency and fairness throughout the recruitment process. Citizens are urged not to be swayed by temptations or inducements, and any suspicious activities should be promptly reported to the nearest police station, accompanied by supporting evidence.
