In a significant development for the residents of Chendani Koliwada in Thane, the closed pedestrian bridge connecting the east and west sides of Thane railway station is set to be reopened, bringing relief to the local citizens. The decision came after MP Rajan Vichare swiftly addressed the concerns raised by the community following the sudden closure of the vital bridge.

Local residents, facing inconvenience due to the closure, approached MP Rajan Vichare, highlighting the importance of the bridge in their daily lives. Responding promptly to the citizens' grievances, MP Rajan Vichare organized an urgent meeting with Chief Railway Manager Rajnish Goyal in Mumbai. During the meeting, he advocated for the immediate reopening of the bridge and urged that it be kept accessible until the construction of a new bridge is completed.

Following the discussions, the railway authorities initiated repair work on the bridge, ensuring its swift restoration for public use.

The reopening of the pedestrian bridge has not only resolved an immediate concern for the residents but has also garnered appreciation from local organizations. The Chendani Koliwada Koli Jamaat Trust, Thane, Shree United Sports Club, and Shree Anand Bharti Samaj Thane expressed their gratitude to MP Rajan Vichare for his prompt action.
