NMMC’s all ward offices to have application registration rooms for 'Chief Minister - Majhi Ladki Bahin' scheme

Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) is enhancing accessibility to the Chief Minister - Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme by establishing application registration rooms in all ward offices and government buildings. This initiative, directed by NMMC Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde, aims to ensure seamless enrollment for eligible women across the city.

The scheme, launched by the Maharashtra Women and Child Development Department, provides financial assistance of Rs. 1500/- via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to married, widowed, divorced, abandoned, and destitute women aged 21 to 65, along with one unmarried woman per family.

To facilitate applications, eligible women can use the Nari Shakti Doot app for online submissions or visit designated registration rooms for assistance. Dr. Shinde emphasized the expansion to 111 registration rooms, operating from 8 am to 8 pm, to accommodate all applicants.
