The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has initiated the tender process to invite bids from architectural consultants for the proposed state-of-the-art 500-bed super specialty hospital cum postgraduate medical college in Belapur. The estimated cost of the project is approximately Rs 850 crore.

MLA Manda Mhatre played a pivotal role in advocating for this initiative, addressing the need for affordable healthcare facilities in Navi Mumbai. Following persistent efforts, CIDCO allocated a 7.6-acre plot in Sector 15A, CBD Belapur to NMMC for the construction of this facility, overcoming various challenges and political hurdles.

The upcoming medical college and hospital complex will span ground floor plus seven additional floors, accommodating a comprehensive range of facilities. It will feature a 500-bed super specialty hospital catering to post-graduate and nursing students, an academic wing, accommodation for professors, student hostels, and a parking lot capable of accommodating 400 vehicles.
