NMMC Commissioner completes his tenth Tata Mumbai Marathon

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s (NMMC) Commissioner, Dr. Kailas Shinde, has reached an extraordinary milestone by completing the Tata Mumbai Marathon for the tenth consecutive year.
This year’s race, which took place on Sunday, celebrated the 20th anniversary of the prestigious event, attracting thousands of runners from around the world. Dr. Shinde completed the challenging 42.195 km course in an impressive 4 hours, 29 minutes, and 12 seconds, further solidifying his commitment to fitness and endurance.
The marathon, which commenced at 5:00 a.m. from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai, saw Dr. Shinde maintain a steady pace of 6 minutes and 23 seconds per kilometre throughout the race, a testament to his dedication to consistent training and preparation.
This year’s accomplishment follows Dr. Shinde’s exceptional performance in the Comrades Marathon, an ultramarathon held in South Africa, where he completed the 86.6 km course in 11 hours, 10 minutes, and 56 seconds, surpassing the required time. This achievement further cemented his reputation as a determined and disciplined athlete.
