NMMC chief issues directive for speedy service delivery under ERP system

Emphasizes the necessity for seamless coordination among departments of municipal corporation
The commissioner of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), Rajesh Narvekar has issued directives aimed at ensuring swift and efficient service delivery, meeting the expectations of the citizens.
The Commissioner emphasized the necessity for seamless coordination among all departments of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation. The goal is to make municipal services easily accessible to citizens within the specified timeframe and with minimal effort.
This directive is part of an initiative to accelerate the implementation of the new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
While scrutinizing the activities of different departments, he meticulously examined the current status of the ERP system during a meeting with department heads. He directed that services of the respective departments should be implemented promptly as the work is completed, following the prioritized order of departments. Present during this occasion were Additional Commissioner Sujata Dhole, Vijayakumar Mhasal, and other department heads.
During the meeting, Commissioner Rajesh Narvekar conducted a thorough examination of the facilities available in the ERP system and familiarized himself with certain service availability procedures. The current ERP system is undergoing upgrades, facilitating the use of a unified software for both headquarters and divisional offices, as well as other departments.
This initiative aims to bring uniformity to the functioning of all departments. The enhanced ERP system proves to be advantageous for both municipal administration and citizens, representing the next step in the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation's journey towards digitization.
Along with this, while reviewing the Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) survey, the commissioner directed that the property tax department should promptly initiate further action based on the information available through the survey. Cleanliness is the identity of Navi Mumbai and our aim is to improve it more and more.
From the nodal officers appointed department-wise in pursuance of Swachh Survekshan and Majhi Vasundhara Abhiyaan, every unit has to do its work vigilantly and contribute to the utmost to raise the standard of the city. Commissioner gave a clear warning that laxity will not be tolerated and responsibility will be fixed.
The designation of Navi Mumbai as the 'City of Udayans' is a unique identity, and the Commissioner has highlighted the importance of enhancing the state of Udayans. Special attention has been directed towards initiating toy trains and repairing toys. The Commissioner has further clarified that a dedicated review meeting will be conducted. This meeting aligns with the earlier directives from the Commissioner to compile a comprehensive list of necessary matters for the improved development of udayans.
The Commissioner has instructed to expedite the finalization of the utilization policy for the Senior Citizen Care Center. Immediate steps are to be taken for the implementation of facilities at various locations, including SE-15 Belapur Parking Building, Senior Citizen Care Centre Seawoods, SE-9 Vashi Bus Depot, Vashi Fire Station, Swami Vivekananda Cultural Bhawan, and the Veterinary Hospital. These directives were given during the review process.
The Commissioner has given specific directives to expedite the completion of the swimming pool at Ghansoli Central Park. Furthermore, the distribution of market stalls is to be carried out swiftly, with notifications sent to registered hawkers, following a time-bound planning approach utilizing the lottery method.
The Commissioner has given instructions to commence the scholarship scheme for students this academic year under the ongoing scholarship program through the Department of Social Development. Additionally, schools are to be directly assisted in the process of student registration for the scholarship.
The Commissioner has communicated that essential steps should be taken to make the newly completed school buildings operational. Furthermore, necessary repair works in school buildings should be accomplished through the coordinated efforts of the Education and Engineering departments in locations where it is deemed necessary, as indicated by the Commissioner.
Assuming that the schedule for the ‘Vikasit Bharat - Sankalp Yatra’ in the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation area will be released, the Commissioner has directed the selection of seats division-wise in the NMMC area.
Commissioner Shri Rajesh Narvekar has instructed that citizens should actively participate in the selection process and work together for the efficient and prompt delivery of services, wherever necessary.
