Navi Mumbai: The city is set to redefine its infrastructure with the upcoming launch of Navi Mumbai International Airport, along with a host of other ambitious projects. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced plans for India’s first water taxi service dedicated to the airport, marking the beginning of a multi-modal transport revolution.

A seamless network will connect the metro station to the airport, with provisions for aircraft parking and repair facilities.

Fadnavis also urged the fast-tracking of the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) project, which includes a modern airport township. Key urban developments will feature recalibrated road widths to accommodate future traffic and a focus on affordable housing.

Major commercial projects like Aerocity, International Corporate Park, and Educity will transform the region into a dynamic business hub.

As transport infrastructure evolves across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Navi Mumbai’s focus on integrated urban planning, including the water taxi service, signifies a new era in sustainable mobility, positioning the city to become a model for future urban growth.
