Navi Mumbai women journalists felicitated on the occasion of International Women’s Day

In a heartening ceremony organized on the occasion of International Women's Day, women journalists were honoured and provided valuable insights on maintaining their health and well-being while juggling the demands of work and personal life. The event took place at the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s headquarters, where the Navi Mumbai Journalist Welfare Association organized a special program to recognize the contributions of women journalists.
Addressing the gathering, Additional Commissioner of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Sujata Dhole, emphasized the importance of women prioritizing their health both at home and in the workplace. She particularly highlighted the significance of being assertive and learning to say "no" when faced with tasks that go against one's beliefs. Dhole urged women journalists to listen to their hearts and stand up for themselves.
The program saw the participation of women journalists from various newspapers and news channels, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and celebration. In her guidance, Dhole acknowledged the fast-paced nature of today's life and encouraged women to take special care of their health amid the hustle and bustle. She stressed the importance of addressing health issues promptly, as early intervention can prevent them from escalating into more significant problems.
Legal expert Adv. Vandana Dalvi, police officer Shubhangi Patil, accomplished actress Shreja Mhatre, and gold medal-winning wrestler Rajshree Bangar were among the distinguished guests who shared their insights and experiences with the women journalists. Each speaker provided valuable guidance on balancing professional and personal responsibilities while ensuring one's well-being.
The event aimed to inspire and empower women journalists, recognizing their significant contributions to the field. Journalist Welfare Association President Ashok Seshware, Chief Advisor Vishwarath Nair, and Secretary Nagamani Pandey played vital roles in organizing the successful program. Anil Kumar Ubale skillfully moderated the proceedings, ensuring a smooth and engaging event.
