Mira-Bhayandar: Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) has announced 24-hour water supply disruption on May 8 and 9.

The shutdown is necessary for critical maintenance and repair work at the Jambhul Water Treatment Plant.

The maintenance period is scheduled to begin at midnight on May 8, and will continue until midnight on May 9. During this time, water supply from MIDC will be completely suspended. However, the water supply from the STEM authority will continue as usual.

"The maintenance work at the Jambhul Water Treatment Plant is crucial for ensuring consistent and high-quality water supply in the future,” Sharad Nanegaonkar, executive engineer, water supply and sewerage department, said.

Nanegaonkar further advised residents that until the MIDC water supply is fully restored, Mira-Bhayandar may experience low water pressure and delayed supply. "We are making every effort to complete the maintenance work within the scheduled period and minimize inconvenience to the public," he added.

MBMC has urged all residents to store adequate amount of water in advance and to exercise restraint in water usage until the situation normalizes.
