In a remarkable expedition, Navi Mumbai resident Captain Vikas Dahiya, hailing from Ghansoli, headed the team facilitating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's undersea visit to the remains of the ancient city of Dwarka. This extraordinary endeavour, undertaken by the Honourable Prime Minister, showcased exemplary courage and endurance, according to Captain Dahiya.

Captain Dahiya, from the Western Naval Command, meticulously orchestrated the undersea visit, ensuring all necessary precautions were taken. Leading a team of nearly 20 Navy personnel, he facilitated PM Modi's scuba diving excursion to the submerged remnants of Dwarka, situated approximately 25 feet below the Arabian Sea off the coast of Gujarat.

During the dive, PM Modi, clad in his signature kurta robes and a white protective helmet, sat on a marine seat on the seabed. Placing a tuft of peacock feather inside the ancient stone, he prayed with closed eyes, describing the experience as "Divine." Alongside the Prime Minister, Captain Dahiya's wife, Anuja Dahiya, also dived undersea, sharing in the sacred moment and feeling the pristine energy while touching the submerged stone—the remnants of Dwarka, the ancient kingdom of Lord Krishna.

According to the Archaeological Survey of India, Dwarka has been submerged beneath the sea for centuries, near the iconic Dwarkadhish Temple.

Captain Vikas Dahiya's leadership and the successful execution of this historic undersea visit underscored the commitment and expertise of India's naval personnel in facilitating significant national events.
