Belapur: CIDCO’s Metro Line 1, running from Belapur to Pendhar in Navi Mumbai, has achieved a significant milestone, transporting over 1 crore commuters since its launch on November 17, 2023. This achievement in under two years highlights the metro’s rising popularity as a fast and comfortable commuting option for residents.

The metro connects key residential and industrial hubs, including CBD Belapur, Taloja MIDC, and housing complexes in Taloja and Kharghar, helping ease road traffic and cut travel time.

To improve service efficiency, CIDCO has revised the timetable, providing trains every 10 minutes during peak hours and every 15 minutes during non-peak hours in both directions.

In a commuter-friendly move, fares have been reduced, with a minimum ticket price of Rs 10 and a maximum of Rs 30. These measures have attracted daily passengers and contributed to the record ridership.
