Belapur Assembly Constituency MLA Manda Mhatre's residence echoed with the vibrant hues of Rang Panchami as women from various communities came together to celebrate the festival with immense zeal.

The festivity, marking the essence of Holi and Dhulivandan, witnessed women from diverse communities such as Banjara, Rajasthani, and Koli women clad in their traditional attire, becoming the focal point of the celebration. The air was filled with joyous melodies as everyone swayed to the rhythmic beats of Koli and Rajasthani songs.

Former corporator Anita Shetty graced the occasion, emphasizing the significance of preserving the cultural essence of festivals amidst modern-day celebrations.

Expressing her sentiments, MLA Manda Mhatre highlighted the importance of celebrating Holi and Dhulivandan with mindfulness. She emphasized the use of organic colours over chemical dyes to ensure the safety of participants' health, particularly their eyes. She further advocated for a spirit of mutual respect during the festivities, urging against the imposition of colours on unwilling participants.

Furthermore, Mhatre highlighted the need to mitigate instances of conflict often associated with Holi, urging citizens to uphold the festival's spirit of joy and camaraderie.
