MLA Manda Mhatre announces series of development plans for Belapur Constituency

Navi Mumbai: MLA Manda Mhatre held a press conference to announce a series of significant development projects aimed at fostering all-round growth in the Belapur constituency. The conference, held at her residence, highlighted the extensive urban development work completed and planned under her leadership.
One of the major announcements was the revival of the long-pending Road Over Bridge (ROB) project on the Belapur-Sion Panvel Highway in Sector 11, CBD Belapur. This project, stalled for two years, is crucial for easing traffic congestion in the area. MLA Manda Mhatre emphasized that the ROB would connect Palm Beach Road with the Sion-Panvel Highway via up and down ramps, reducing traffic woes during peak hours. The project, estimated at Rs. 155 crores, will also link with the proposed coastal road by CIDCO.
Addressing healthcare needs, MLA Manda Mhatre announced the establishment of a super specialty hospital and medical college in Sector 15, Belapur. This facility, covering 7.60 acres, will cost between Rs. 819.30 cr to Rs. 850 cr and will feature over 500 beds. It aims to provide advanced healthcare services to residents and create opportunities for medical education.
She further revealed plans for constructing Maharashtra Bhavan in Vashi, a facility to accommodate residents from various regions of Maharashtra coming to Mumbai for competitive exams and job recruitment. The project’s bhumi pujan will soon be held marking the commencement of construction.
For the Annabhau Sathe Dalit Vasti Yojana a fund of Rs. 15 crores has been approved for this initiative in the Belapur constituency.
A total of Rs. 2000 crores has been allocated for various public development works across Navi Mumbai, including Diwale Smart Village.
A special provision fund of Rs. 20 crores has been sanctioned for basic amenities and infrastructure development in Belapur village.
In response to rising concerns about safety, she announced the installation of CCTV cameras funded by her MLA Development Fund to curb theft and enhance security for residents.
MLA Mhatre reiterated her commitment to serving the citizens of Navi Mumbai, stating, "Till date, I have cherished every opportunity to serve the citizens of Navi Mumbai for their happy life. All you Navi Mumbaikars are witnesses to the development work done for the common people."
