Navi Mumbai: CIDCO has successfully completed the construction of a multi-level car parking facility at the CIDCO Housing Project in Kharkopar, Navi Mumbai, in 42 days under its ‘Mission-45’ initiative.

The formal inauguration was held on April 25, with prominent officials including Vijay Singhal, vice chairman and managing director, CIDCO, and Shantanu Goel, joint managing director, CIDCO, among others.

The Multilevel Car Parking (MLCP) project, which was completed three days ahead of schedule, marks a significant achievement for CIDCO. Singhal expressed that this accomplishment sets new benchmarks in development, helping shape a better future for communities.

As part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), CIDCO is constructing 67,000 affordable housing units in Navi Mumbai, with the multi-level car parking facility being part of Package-4 of the housing scheme at Plot No. 3 in Kharkopar.

Construction began on March 4 and was completed on April 17, saving approximately four and a half months of time compared to the traditional six-month timeline. This was made possible through the use of advanced precast technology, with 2,212 precast components used in the structure.

The facility comprises a ground floor, which will serve as a community centre, and six upper floors dedicated to car parking, designed to accommodate 365 vehicles.

The total built-up area spans 1.43 lakh square feet. Given the increasing demand for parking spaces in urban areas, this facility will ease parking challenges for residents of CIDCO’s housing complexes.
