Bhayandar: In view of essential repairs being carried out by Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation at its Jambhul Water Purification Plant, water supply will be disrupted in Mira Bhayandar for 24-hours from May 22 at 12:00 pm to May 23 12:00 pm.

Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation has urged residents to use water judiciously and cooperate with civic authorities during the brief disruption.

“This shutdown is necessary for the upkeep of the system and to ensure reliable supply in the future. While STEM water supply will continue, overall pressure and timings may be affected,” Sharad Nanegaonkar, Executive Engineer of the Water Supply and Sewerage Department at MBMC, said.

During this period, the MIDC-supplied water to the city will be entirely suspended. However, water supply from the STEM Authority will continue as usual.

Water pressure across the city is expected to remain low and delivery may be delayed until the MIDC supply is fully restored.

MBMC has appealed to all residents to store sufficient water in advance and refrain from unnecessary consumption during this period.
