Former corporator Arvind Pote also among new entrants as party stresses social causes

In a significant development, Vijaya Pote, the Zilla Mahila Sanghatak of the Shiv Sena Thackeray faction, along with former corporator Arvind Pote, joined the Shiv Sena in a ceremony graced by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in Thane on Thursday, April 18th. The event witnessed the induction of numerous office-bearers and workers into the party fold.

Vijaya Pote cited the party's commitment to Balasaheb Thackeray's doctrine of prioritizing 80 percent social causes and 20 percent politics as a key factor motivating her decision to join Shiv Sena. She emphasized a departure from the previous party, which she claimed had become solely focused on politics, whereas Shiv Sena, in her view, retained its balance of social and political engagement.

Amidst the influx of new members, about 100 office bearers and a multitude of workers joined Shiv Sena, including notable figures such as sub-city organizer Pallavi Bandivadekar, Namita Sahu, Bharti Bhosale, Mandakini Garud, Monica Ingle, Ranjana Patil, and Vandana Patil, among others.

The ceremony was attended by a host of Shiv Sena dignitaries, including Kalyan Lok Sabha MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde, Shiv Sena State Coordinator Naresh Mhaske, and star campaigner Rahul Londhe, underscoring the significance of the occasion within the party.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde extended a warm welcome to Vijaya Pote and reiterated the party's commitment to grassroots activism over virtual engagement. He expressed confidence in Dr. Shrikant Shinde's track record of accomplishments in the Kalyan Lok Sabha constituency, forecasting a resounding victory in the upcoming elections.
