The vibrant and joyous festivities of Navratri has lit up the Dronagiri node in Uran. Thanks to the efforts of the Jai Ambe Sarvajanik Navratri Mandal. Established in 2021 by Jagjivan Bhoir, the head of Shiv Sena's Dronagiri branch, the Mandal has not only aimed to foster a deeper connection with Hinduism but has also provided a significant platform for local artists and citizens to come together in celebration.

Now in its third consecutive year, the festival has garnered widespread attention and participation. The festivities commence with the installation of the idol of Goddess Durga at the majestic Devkripa Circle.

Under the guidance of the dynamic team, including President Karan Patil, Vice President Rupesh Patil, Secretary Somnath Bhoir, and other diligent members of the Mandal, the celebrations have been a resounding success. Various events, including bhajan, ras garba, sangeet, health camps, kavi sammelan, stree shakti maha arti, and a fancy dress competition, have captured the attention and participation of the enthusiastic attendees.

Former MLA and Shiv Sena's Raigad District Chief Manohar Bhoir graced the event with his presence, and sought the Goddess blessing and commended the Mandal's efforts in organizing such a spectacular festival.

The unprecedented surge of interest in the garba organized by the Mandal has led to an overwhelming turnout, resulting in space constraints at the venue. The Garba event has now emerged as the premier attraction in Uran, solidifying its position as the most sought-after celebration in the region.

The Mandal remains committed to its vision of promoting Hindu culture and spirituality while fostering a sense of unity and joy within the community. As the celebrations continue, the fervour and enthusiasm of the attendees serve as a testament to the power of cultural festivities in fostering communal harmony and joy.
