Dighode-Dhutum Creek Tragedy: Sarpanch Urges Government Aid for Affected Tribals

In the aftermath of the heartbreaking bridge collapse incident at Dighode-Dhutum creek on February 26th, Sarpanch Kirtinidhi Thakur has voiced a poignant plea for immediate financial assistance to the families of the deceased and injured tribal members.

 The incident, which occurred in the panchayats of Dighode and Veshvi villages, within Uran taluka, claimed the lives of two tribal individuals, Rajesh Laxman Waghmare and Avinash Suresh Murkute. Additionally, two others sustained severe injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kamothe.

 Expressing deep concern for the affected families, Sarpanch Kirtinidhi Thakur emphasized the urgent need for governmental intervention to ease the financial burdens faced by the victims' kin. Notably, he highlighted the case of Suraj Sham Waghmare, among others, who are grappling with the aftermath of this tragic incident.

 Despite the gravity of the situation, the government has yet to extend support to the grieving families, stated Sarpanch Kirtinidhi Thakur.
