Residents say the issue more prominent at Plot No. 77 and 78

A neglected plot in Sector 21 of Kharghar, identified as plot no. 78, has become a source of concern for residents due to its deteriorating condition. The plot, previously identified as no. 77, is strewn with debris, creating an environment conducive to the breeding of mosquitoes and providing a hiding place for snakes.

While speaking to Newsband, Dipesh Salunke, a resident of Kharghar said, “Plot no 77 and plot no 78 in Sector 21, Kharghar have become a dumping ground for construction debris. This has become a hiding place for snakes and a breeding ground for mosquitoes, posing a health hazard.”

Adding further he said, “In the last eight years this place is becoming a prime spot for throwing garbage and debris.  I request the authorities to look into it, as children play in this area too. Certain individuals engage in drug use frequently gather in this secluded area, behind the corrugated sheets. This is an issue of safety. As there is a risk from snakes also.”
